- I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Administration at Florida State University, making slow progress on the dissertation, and an Educational Policy Analyst for the Board of Governors of the State University System of Florida. I have a job, a dog, a car, and a condo of my own.
I currently live in Tallahassee, but New Orleans is my home. I hope to return to Louisiana someday. For now, I have to write that dissertation. I have great friends and a great family, which makes life a lot less challenging. In my spare time, I find myself doing home improvement tasks.
My parents are one of those rare couples that are still happily married. My sister Sandy is one of my best friends. My dog Clinton can be a little crazy at times, but he's a good boy. I have two wonderful godpuppies named Mollie and Maddie, and they are pure puppy love.
I am on a constant journey of self-improvement. I enjoy being me a lot, but I think it's healthy to always want to be better at something or other. It makes life more interesting. I'm a pescatarian, which basically means that I'm a vegetarian who eats seafood occasionally. I LOVE all sorts of ethnic foods. The lack of really good Thai food in Tally has really got me down.
I try to keep it real. If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm honest to a fault. Sometimes I can be a bit dramatic, but it's usually for the sake of humor. I'm obnoxiously liberal but I try to avoid political arguments; I realize that I'm not going to change anybody's mind, so I take the high road.
